To see from a strange perspective and design objectively.
- TSOM Design Philosophy -
Creativity can often seem random and chaotic, like a wild goose chase. At TSOM, we have our own method to this madness - to see from a strange perspective and design objectively. This is how we approach our projects. Quite literally, we see from an unusual perspective - our audiences. We imagine wildly, strangely, in unimaginable ways from their perspective before we design objectively with disciplined eyes. This is how we bring structure to the creative chaos.
DESIGN AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS
The Strangely Objective Mart (TSOM) is run by Paige Lee, who has won numerous globally-recognised design awards including Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, D&AD Packaging design and One Show. In 2019, she was selected as a 'See It be It' delegate for Spikes Asia - a career acceleration programme for female future leaders. When she was working in China, she represented J. Walter Thompson Shanghai as a young creative, clinching national awards at Cannes Lions Youth Competition and LongXi Creative Awards. During her 3 years in Korea, she has also won a special mention LG Health 11th Design Festival Award and 2nd prize in a marketing competition, organised by Eggro Organisation.
With a background in Design Management (M.Des) at Hongik University, and Visual Communication (B.F.A.) at Nanyang Technological University, she uses design research to uncover insights and guide her creative directions. At TSOM, we sell design, creativity and everything fun. Our main goal is to inspire creativity, fun collaborations and use design to help brands innovate and achieve business objectives.
With a global mind, our quirky mart manager has a good understanding of how brands work across different markets. This is why our mart carries a variety of imported items and regional creative work from Singapore, Germany, China and South Korea. Products we carry include beauty products from SK-II, health products from Bausch and Lomb and lifestyle products from Denon and Hartmann. Having lived in Singapore, Germany, China and South Korea, our mart manager is also quick at spotting unique local behaviours and capturing cultural nuances. She integrates them in our creative work to make the ideas locally relevant and relatable to our audience.
